I can truly feel your pain...

Have you ever read a book and feel in love with one of the characters? You watch him go through the numerous trials and overcome the horrible obstacles the author throws in front of him.

Then once he finally gets what he wants, the author kills him off. This happened to me with Thorin, Fili and Kili from "The Hobbit" trilogy. In the end all three die and I am left to mourn them.

In the television show Supernatural, my main man is Dean Winchester. This man has died so many time's I literally lost count after 100 times. If he dies again I'm pretty sure I'll loose it. Yep, I said that.. I will just burst into tears and sob.

Personally, when I write stories I try to not kill anyone, especially my favorite characters. Which one of your favorite movie or book character died that left you mourning their loss?

  1. How can I name them all? Let’s start with Jason Grace son of Jupiter. First introduced in Heroes of Olympus book 1: The Lost Hero. Killed off in Trials of Apollo book 3: The Burning Maze. Next are Zoë Nightshade daughter of Atlas and Bianca Di Angelo daughter of Hades, both introduced in The Titan’s Curse and killed in The Titan’s Curse. Then we have Charles Beckendorf son of Hephaestus and Silena Bougaurd daughter of Aphrodite. He was introduced in Percy Jackson and the Olympians book and she was introduced in Percy Jackson and the Olympians book . Both died as heroes in The Last Olympian. Lastly, it was hard to choose (there are so many more)Luke Castellen son of Hermes and main Antagonist and Ethan Nakumura son of Nemesis. Luke was Introduced in The Lightning Thief and Ethan in The Battle of the Labyrinth. Both were bad guys but died as Heroes in The Last Olympian. If you can’t tell by now that The Rirodanverse is my passion and that I am mortally wounded when a great character dies then I am truly surprised. I just thought of another two that died.Leo Valdez son of Hephaestus and Frank Zhang son of Mars. Leo was introduced in The Lost Hero and Frank in The Son of Neptune. Leo died in The Blood of Olympus but came back to life thanks to Festus the dragon and the Physicians Cure and was reintroduced in The Trials of Apollo book 1:The Hidden Oracle. Frank sacrificed himself by setting aflame his magical wooden lifeline in The Trials of Apollo book 4: The Tyrant’s Tomb. They all thought he was dead until he fell off of Arion’s back and onto the ground and they found out that he was alive.
