I received a call at work today from my mum saying that she was at the hospital. She had slipped on a patch of ice on the driveway and couldn't get up because of the pain she was feeling in her leg. An ambulance was called and she was transported to the hospital.
This is twice she had fallen on the driveway from ice. Unfortunately our driveway slants down so she almost slid under my brother's car who was parked at the base of the driveway. Now I'm sitting here playing the waiting game to see when she's coming home or if she's coming home tonight or being kept in the hospital.
