I really need to trust my intuition more.

Today I had an odd feeling, and my intuition was poking at me to listen up. I will admit that I am my own worst critic when it comes to trusting my intuition.

While pulling into the parking lot at my work I noticed that there were no cars in the parking lot. I got out and watched my ride pull away. I was wondering if my manager was there, but then noticed the parking lot door open a jar.

The first thing that came to my head was that the manager on duty took a taxi or Uber to work. It's been done before so I really thought nothing of it. One of our security guys always leaves the door open as well so employees can get inside. As I usually do, I pulled the door closed behind me because I saw no one standing at the door.

I went in and straight to the office and saw no one in there. I usually drop my bag on the floor in the office and just go straight to work. I printed my markdown papers and grabbed the equipment that I needed to do the markdowns. This is what I always do when I'm on my own doing the markdowns, grab my stuff and go to work.

Now there are time's where I will get to work and not see a manager or supervisor until about an hour or so after I arrive. Not a big deal to be honest because we are both busy and once the store opens and things settle then they will be walking around the store, and I'll see them.

I was still dealing with the intuition telling me that something was off there, so I was about to go into the receiving area to see if the manager was in there, but then I looked up and literally saw her walk into the store! She looked at me and said, "How did you get into the store???"
The long and the short of it. I was in the store for about 5 minutes alone and the closing manager didn't completely lock the parking lot door last night, which meant that the door was OPEN all night!

As I was leaving this afternoon the manager yelled at me from the accounting office "Don't come into work on your own anymore Lisa!" I yelled back to her that I didn't mean to do it. LOL
On a brighter note the mall put up the Christmas tree in the mall in front of our store along with the train!
