Did you know that bees drink water? For the life of me I had no clue about that. I thought they only fed from flowers.
There is an easy way to help them stay hydrated during the summers and that's to make a water bowl.
Fill the bowl with marbles or stones. Clean stones mind you. Then fill the bowl with water, but not full enough to cover the stones or marbles.
They will need somewhere to land in order to drink. One thing you do NOT need to add to the water is sugar. Don't add sugar at all they need fresh water.
One bee will pollinate over 2 thousand flowers daily. Their little wings beat over 10 thousand times a minute in order for them to do their work. This is absolutely amazing.
